ASCE Vanderbilt Chapter

Vanderbilt American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) is a student chapter of the larger professional body which represents members of the civil engineering profession worldwide. It is the oldest national engineering society in the United States. The vision of ASCE is to have engineers positioned as global leaders who strive toward building a better quality of life.

Become a member

Pick up a membership form form Dr. Troxel's office (295 Jacobs Hall) and turn it in filled out at one of our meetings. Membership dues are to be given to our treasurer.

ASCE National

The American Society of Civil Engineers is the oldest engineering society in the United States that caters to over 115,000 professionals and 15,000 students in civil engineering. Its mission is to "provide essential value to our members and partners, advance civil engineering, and serve the public good". ASCE strives to "facilitate the advancement of technology", "encourage and provide the tools for lifelong learning", promote professionalism, influence public policy, "develop and support civil engineer leaders", and "advocate infrastructure and environmental stewardship".
